<Check of the firmware version>
Enter *#06# press the green key and then the left softkey.
The three contractions show the supported language-coding processes:
- HR = Half Rate
- FR = Full Rate
- EFR = Enhanced Full Rate
<PIN2 modification>
The modifications can't be made by menu, only by the following key
combination: **042*oldpin2*newpin2*newpin2# the old Pin2 is mostly
0000.
<Quick access on "Environment">
If the Expert-mode is activated, you'll access the environment menu by
pressing the upper volme key. "fast" Language change
<WAP-Browser>
There is almost a WAP-Browser in the S25, but it's deactivated by most of the
german
networks, because the browser doesn't support the current WAP specification 1.1
(just 1.0!).
<Language coding>
The different types of language coding modes are activated/deactivated by the
following
inputs:
<Assistance to the menus>
If the menu-button isn't used by another function, it will show you the
different menu options.
<Organizer>
The storage spaces of the integrated organizer are limited to only 30 entries.
<Display llighting>
It is possible to switch on the display illumination during activated key lock
by pressing the
red button.
According to Siemens uses 1 minute light approx.. 1 hour standby.
<The buttons at the left side>
You can modify the volume during a call, scroll down through menus and fade out
the lower menu
line during the reading of a SMS.
<Fast Dial>
The menu for Fast Dial modifications is placed at menu-setup-keys-left fast
dial/right fast
dial. (9-4-1 or 9-4-2)
<Standby-time extension>
<Repeated SMS dispatch>
If the disptatch of a SMS failed, you can repeat the dispatch immediately by
pressing the
lower volume key.

Tips and tricks
Nice Sunset in the display. Siemens S3 or younger
In the Telephone Book in the section own numbers, first position you have
to type in +12022243121 (Number of the Capitol in Washington DC) and
save it without a name. Then open this telephone book again do so as you
like to change the number but leave the modus without changing anything.
A nice Sundown will be shown in the display.

MONITOR MODE
The Siemens S3 Com series have a Monitor mode that can be activated
directly from the standard user keypad. In order to activate this mode, you
must enter the special access code currently programmed into the phone.
TO ACTIVATE MONITOR MODE
1. Turn the phone on.
2. Enter the PIN access code on press OK. (Only if is enabled).
3. Press Menu. (Left top button).
4. Press 9. (Phone Options).
5. Press 8. (Phone Status) (May be button 7 in some phones).
6. You may see your IMEI Number
7. Left Display Button (Top left MENU key).
8. 7684666
9. HangUp Button. (Red HandSet key).
Note: Monitor should appear now at the bottom of the Network Options
menu.
MONITOR MODE TOGGLE
